Downtown Kamloops
Hot dry summers, mild winters, and more than 2,000 hours of annual sunshine define the city’s activities for lifestyle oriented residents. Centrally located, the Kamloops downtown core starts where the South and North Thompson Rivers meet. Overlooking the waters of the South Thompson River is where our children play, our arts community thrives, and our lifestyle amenities breath life into the cultural heartbeat of our community. A gateway to outdoor recreation, Downtown Kamloops is within one hour of 200 lakes, numerous municipal and provincial parks, and just minutes from world class Sun Peaks Ski Resort. Established restaurants, relaxing coffee shops, and craft brew houses support the neighbourhood’s fun and down to earth atmosphere. Plentiful shopping, quality healthcare, growing neighbourhoods, and a community rich in history and culture make the downtown core amongst the most popular places to live anywhere in BC.
